HOW IT WORKS
What?
-
A non-partisan initiative dedicated to fostering in-person dialogue on complex and often uncomfortable topics, ensuring all voices are heard.
-
Each session will be led by a host and will focus on a single topic (i.e., "freedom"), guided by structured questions to keep discussions on track.
-
Each participant will receive a copy of the conversation guidelines, including guided questions upon registering (i.e., “What does freedom mean to you? How does this definition differ or align with the Canadian concept of freedom?”).
-
Sessions will be limited to 8-10 people. (In the future, there is a possibility of having on group and splitting it in half so there are two concurrent conversations).
-
Session durations will be around 90 - 120 minutes.
Who?
-
These dialogues are open to all individuals, regardless of background, political affiliation, or beliefs who seek meaningful, challenging conversations in an open, non-partisan environment.
Where? When?
-
Community spaces
-
Events will be posted on this site.
Why?
-
To counter polarization, rebuild community connections, revive third places, and create a culture where open, honest conversation can thrive.
-
The U.S. has an abundance of 'bridge building' groups, but Canada is sorely lacking. This initiative is an attempt to create such a space for Canadians who want to have meaningful dialogues with their fellow Canadians without fear of censorship or alienation.
