At a time of intense division, polarization, and alienation, we want to bring back ‘salon’ style conversations to the public sphere.

The purpose of this initiative is to break bread with our fellow Canadians and foster open and honest conversations where all perspectives are welcome. We want to create a place where meaningful, sometimes uncomfortable, conversations transcend sloganeering, buzzwords, and ideological enslavement.

By reconnecting beyond the digital realm, our goal is to revive in-person conversations with people of all backgrounds and interests, bring back third places, and rebuild a culture of shared understanding. And maybe even heal some of our wounds, in whatever way we can.

We believe that meaningful connection happens not through self-censorship or political correctness but through genuine engagement, curiosity, and a willingness to listen.

 

By bringing people together, our aim is to counteract the alienation and polarization exacerbated by the digital age, restoring the human element to discourse and fostering a more connected, resilient society.
